Surgery: I am better!!

 

On Tuesday, Julia had her ear surgery.  All went really well!  She was such a trooper!  All the doctors and nurses were awesome with her.  She went back to the operating room with a single tear!  I cannot say the same for me.  Even Jason said he was a little teary eyed.  It is hard to see your baby have to go through things like this.  Behind her ear is where they did a skin graft to fill in the hole inside her ear. 

She was more concerned with the IV that was in her foot than the ear surgery itself!

Look at that poor pitiful face!  It was the only sad face she had the entire time!  Not tears at all!

The nurses gave Julia this huge tin full of stickers.  She was in sticker heaven!  They gave her a little bag and she filled it full of stickers.  They also gave her a teddy bear, a bracelet, a ring, a ball, and a color book. 










There were two other nurses there with the name Julia.  This nurse was super nice.  She talked Julia through everything that was going on.  She made sure she was comfortable and not afraid.

In the waiting area there was a bus for the kids to play in.  She thought it was the coolest thing.  She gave me, daddy, and nana rides on her bus!

This last picture is Nana's hand.  Julia was getting a little restless so Nana let her decorate her hand.  When she was finished with Nana's hand she looked at me and told me it was my turn.  I told her only Nanas let little girls draw on them!
